The Dark Prince was brought back to the King’s Palace,
And there he was allowed to drink from the royal chalice.
The King and the Prince sat for many days discussing dark affairs,
Speaking for so long that the King ordered for more comfortable chairs.
The Dark Prince warned of a premonition he had made,
A premonition that all throughout the lands should feel afraid.
It is of a blackness that will soon cover the lands,
One that he is not sure can be stopped by any hands.
The Black Monster comes to end all life,
The Black Monster kills without weapons or knife.
“Where does it come from?” asked the King curiously,
“It simply is,” the Dark Prince responded mysteriously.
It comes for all kingdoms, even those not of this world,
Hearing this, the King’s mind completely whirled.
For the King did not know that there were worlds other than here,
It is a strange thing for a King that thinks he knows all very clear.
At that moment, the beautiful Half-Elf had snuck in,
For the Half-Elf was listening through the cracks that were thin.
“What the Dark Prince says is true!” The Half-Elf decreed,
“And there are preparations to be made with great speed!”
So the King then sought out the great Dwarven King,
For if something needed to be done, the dwarf you must bring.
